Level 10 Standouts at C.R. Gymnastics Camp at Illinois State

<p>In recent weeks, many athletes came to Illinois State Universities campus to participate in Cassandra Ringer Gymnastics Camps this summer. Here, we'll take a close look at the top five exceptionally talented Level 10 gymnasts who attended the second camp. Gymnastics Camps at Illinois State: Level 10 Standouts</a></p>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top 5 Standouts:</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Madelyn showed outstanding potential and exquisite skill throughout the second camp. She is well balanced amongst the four events and made progress in multiple areas. Madelyn did a remarkable job on floor working hard at a new Front Through + 2 1/2 pass. She also has notable skills with high difficulty on bars and beam such as a Toe Handstand + Ray and Back Handspring + Layout Step-out + Layout Step-out.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Throughout camp 2, Kora's natural ability and advanced skill set shined. She demonstrated both power and great form on vault where she worked a high level Yurchenko Full. I was impressed by her consistency and steadiness on beam while working on Side Somis and Gainer Pike dismounts. Lastly, Kora did a great job on floor showing wonderful height in her Double Pikes.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Abigail had a very strong display of various skills on each event at the second camp. She made lots of progress on beam by connecting a unique triple series (Front toss + Back Handspring + Layout Step-out), along with highlighting her impeccable leap combinations. On vault and floor, Abigail worked Yurchenko Fulls and Double Tucks/Pikes showing a nice blend of powerful approaches and graceful technique.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">At camp 2, Samantha showed a wide range of high level skills across the four events. Her technique was confident and precise, which stood out on beam and floor. I noticed impressive extension on leaps and jumps with many of her dance elements containing 180 degree splits or straddles. Samantha did a great job on floor as well, exposing her natural ability to show control and strong landings in her tumbling.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Teagan attended the second camp showing high energy tumbling and polished form. She worked plenty of difficult leaps and acro elements on beam like Hitch-kick + Tor Jete leaps and a standing Barani. Teagan's floor had a refreshing and energetic feel due to her sky-high Front Double Full and combination passes. Overall, I appreciated her presentation ability and attention to detail. </p>    <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-default" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Final Thoughts</h2>   <p>Throughout camp 2 at Illinois State, I have been continuously impressed by the incoming class of gymnasts for 2027. This group of athletes brought ambition, high-energy, and excellent technique from the beginning of camp until the end. It is always a privilege to coach these athletes and find ways to help each of them make progress towards their goals. </p>
