On the Road: Which Recruits Are Making College Visits?

The recruiting trail is heating up, and athletes across the country are getting a closer look at their potential college homes. From meeting coaches and exploring campuses to experiencing what life could look like as a collegiate gymnast, recent visits are giving recruits valuable opportunities to narrow down their options and build relationships with programs. Here's a look at some of the gymnasts who have been on the road recently and the programs they've visited.    Aria Smith has already established herself as one of the strongest all-around competitors in the country, placing third at Nationals last season with an impressive 38.1. The powerful all-arounder has made official visits to Arkansas and Nebraska so far, giving both programs a closer look at what she could bring to their lineups. Smith is a powerhouse gymnast who makes big skills look effortless. Her Barani-double tuck, double layout, and full-twisting double layout on floor showcase her impressive power, while her Hindorff in training flies over the bar with plenty of height. Her Yurchenko 1½ already looks NCAA-ready, and on beam, she's refining an already clean back handspring-layout series and double-tuck dismount while adding new skills like a straddle jump-front tuck. Whether Smith eventually entertains crowds at Bud Walton Arena, the Bob Devaney Sports Center, or another college arena, she's a recruit who looks poised to make an impact wherever she lands.     Quinn Harris has already built an impressive Level 10 résumé through five seasons at the level, and she recently added another Nationals accolade to it with a second-place finish on beam, scoring a 9.65. Last season, she posted a 38.25 season-high in the all-around, showcasing her ability to contribute across every event. Harris has taken official visits to California and Auburn so far, and is continuing to build on an already impressive arsenal with upgrades that could make her an even stronger collegiate lineup contributor. She's training a Yurchenko 1½ on vault; a Pak-Maloney ½ and double-layout dismount on bars; a back handspring-layout-layout and side somi on beam; and a front layout-front Rudi, front layout-front double full, 1½-front full and 2½ on floor. Harris brings confidence to every event, combining power, consistency, and showmanship in a way that is sure to entertain fans wherever she ultimately calls home.     Hadara Rostocil is coming off her third season of Level 10, where she posted an impressive season-high all-around score of 38.7, showcasing her ability to contribute across all four events. Rostocil attacks every skill with power and confidence while maintaining clean execution, making her a consistent threat throughout the lineup. She's taken official visits to Alabama and Utah so far, giving both programs a closer look at what she could bring to their teams. Her skill set includes a front through to double tuck on floor, a Ray and double-layout dismount on bars, and a Yurchenko 1½ on vault. With her combination of difficulty, confidence, and all-around consistency, Rostocil has the ability to step into and contribute to virtually any collegiate lineup she chooses.     Nadia Yacoub recently visited Illinois after completing her second season of Level 10, where she posted a season-high all-around score of 37.2. Yacoub particularly stands out on floor, where she brings huge personality to her choreography and launches a powerful double tuck that she can easily stick. Her power carries over to bars as well, where she showcases a Ray and double-layout release. She also competes a 1½-front layout on floor and a Yurchenko full on vault. With her combination of personality, power, and competitive experience, Yacoub is an exciting prospect for the Fighting Illini and could be a strong contributor in Champaign if she chooses to call Illinois home.     Quinn Abercrombie recently visited Ohio State after an impressive first season at Level 10, where she earned third on floor at Nationals with a 9.7. She posted a season-high 37.975 all-around, demonstrating her ability to contribute across every event. Abercrombie's elegance is one of her biggest strengths, somehow carrying through even her most powerful skills. Her front double full on floor and front aerial-back handspring series on beam showcase that rare combination of power and polish. She's also working toward exciting upgrades, including a front double full-front tuck on floor and a Tsuk tuck 1½ on vault. After also attending camps at Cal and Washington this summer, Abercrombie continues to build her collegiate exposure. If she ultimately lands with the Buckeyes, her combination of elegance, versatility, and difficulty could allow her to make an immediate impact.     Kate Seaman has already built an impressive Level 10 résumé, qualifying to Nationals in each of her three seasons at the level. She recently took official visits to Michigan and Utah after posting a season-high 38.15 at Regionals, where she placed second all-around. Seaman stands out for her clean, precise lines and the intentional way she performs each skill. Her beam repertoire includes an Onodi to scale, Onodi-sissone, back dive mount, and back handspring-layout-layout series, while her Yurchenko 1½ gives her a strong option on vault. On bars, she connects a blind change-Jaeger-Pak and Ray-Pak combination before finishing with a toe-on pike ½ dismount. Her floor routine features a double layout and a huge double pike. With her consistency, precision, and growing skill set, Seaman has the potential to bring a polished presence to whichever college lineup she ultimately joins.     Cameron Rose recently visited the University of New Hampshire, giving the Wildcats a chance to see firsthand the showmanship that makes her routines feel more like performances. That natural ability to entertain could make Rose a fan favorite in Durham, should she ultimately choose New Hampshire. She also attended the Maryland and Alabama summer camps, continuing to gain valuable exposure to college programs. Rose brings an impressive collection of skills to the table, including a Yurchenko full and Yurchenko 1½ on vault; a Rudi-layout, Rudi-stag jump and front layout-front full 2½ on floor; a back handspring-layout-layout, front aerial-back handspring-layout and round-off-double full dismount on beam; and a Maloney, Ray and full pirouette-double tuck dismount on bars. With her combination of skill, personality, and performance quality, Rose is a recruit who has the potential to make an impact at the collegiate level.     Ainsley Jencks recently took an official visit to Minnesota after completing her fourth season of Level 10, earning a spot at Nationals in each of her four seasons. She placed 10th at Nationals last year with an impressive season-high all-around score of 37.975. Jencks stands out for her polished presentation, finishing every skill and tumbling pass with purpose and control, even in practice. Her bars repertoire includes a blind change-Jaeger-bail combination and full pirouette-double tuck dismount, while her floor routine features a front through to 2.5, front layout-front double full, and double tuck. On beam, she competes a back handspring-layout stepout and pike front toss, and she's training a Yurchenko 1½ on vault. That attention to detail and ability to finish every skill could make Jencks a valuable addition to the Golden Gophers' lineup if she ultimately chooses Minnesota.     Michela Cuppari has already made a strong impression on the recruiting scene, visiting Oklahoma and Iowa so far after an impressive season that saw her place second all-around at Nationals. Cuppari stands out for her polished presence across all four events, bringing a level of consistency and confidence that makes her a valuable all-around threat. On beam, she performs her back handspring-layout, front toss, and aerial with ease, moving through the routine with minimal balance checks. Her floor routine combines creative choreography and natural showmanship with powerful tumbling, including a double tuck, and a confidence that is difficult to replicate. She's training a full-in that could take the event to another level, while her Yurchenko 1½ in training looks promising heading into next season. On bars, her piked Jaeger reaches impressive height, and she's also been training a Church release. Cuppari is one to keep an eye on throughout the recruiting process. Wherever she ultimately calls home, she has the tools to step into a lineup and make an impact.     Mady McGuire recently took an official visit to Pitt as she continues to navigate the recruiting process following her third season of Level 10. McGuire particularly stands out on vault, where her Yurchenko features a powerful block and clean, controlled body position. She's also been putting in the work across all four events, training a Yurchenko 1½ on vault; a Pak salto, full pirouette-double tuck dismount, and Jaeger on bars; a back handspring-layout stepout, front toss-front pike, and double-full dismount on beam; and a double pike, 1½-front layout, and front layout-Rudi on floor. With upgrades developing across her routines, McGuire could be an excellent addition to the Panthers if she ultimately chooses to call Pitt home.
