Expert Analysis
Clarissa Richardson | Prep Gymnastics Scout
Reina Kawamura is putting together an exciting lineup as she looks to make a jump next season. Coming off a season-high of 35.025, Kawamura has been training upgrades across all three events, including a Gienger, Pak, pirouette–toe shoot, and double-full dismount on bars. On beam, she’s working a back handspring–layout–layout, aerial, double-full dismount, and front aerial–split jump, while her floor lineup features a whip–double full and front full. With this much new difficulty coming together, Kawamura has the potential to make a significant step forward next season.
