Eliza Zang Eliza Zang MD enters her sophomore year with plenty of momentum after making her mark as a beam specialist last season. At State, she earned a 9.350 on beam to take home the bronze, showcasing the poise and confidence needed to thrive on one of gymnastics’ most demanding events. Her beam repertoire features a back handspring-layout stepout, aerial, and a front toss, giving her a strong combination of acrobatic difficulty and variety. While beam was her primary focus last season, Eliza has been seen training across all four events, opening the door for an expanded role in the future. On floor, she is working powerful tumbling including a front double full and 2.5, while her bars training includes a Jaeger. The versatility she’s developing could add another dimension to her gymnastics, and with her proven ability to perform on beam and new skills taking shape across the other events, Eliza is an athlete to watch as she continues to grow.
