Junior D division gymnast Andie Marshall placed third in the all-around with an impressive 38.600, only 3 tenths away from Ballard.  Marshall scored a 9.850 with her show stopping bars routine, which included a beautiful, high flying piked Jaeger, a bail to handstand, and was punctuated by her sticking a double layout dismount. On vault, she competed a powerful yurchenko full with an explosive block off the table and nearly stuck the landing. Marshall’s excellent control and flow throughout her routines are qualities a college program would be on the lookout for next season.

On beam, Marshall mixes difficulty with confidence through a back handspring–layout stepout, switch leap series, and a Barani, while bars showcase a piked Jaeger, bail to handstand, and double layout dismount. With her combination of amplitude, execution, and performance ability, she’s a gymnast with serious upside.
