Gym Spotlight: Missouri's Fuzion Gymnastics Makes Its Mark

Fuzion Gymnastics continues to make its mark in Missouri, developing athletes who bring a combination of skill, confidence, and personality to the competition floor. With a talented group of gymnasts entering the 2026-27 season, there are plenty of athletes worth keeping an eye on as they continue to develop and make their mark. Here are some of the uncommitted level 10s from Fuzion you'll want to watch this season.    Meredith McConnell enters her senior season as a well-rounded athlete with the versatility to make an impact across multiple events. On floor, she combines clean choreography and expressive artistry with a front Rudi, 1.5-front layout, and 1.5-front pike. Her vault is a standout, featuring a front handspring-front tuck with excellent height and an easy landing. On beam, McConnell brings polished artistry to a routine highlighted by a back handspring-layout stepout, front tuck, and round-off 1.5 dismount, while her bars set features a clear hip handstand-Shaposh, Pak salto, 1/2 pirouette, and toe-on front pike 1/2 dismount. She's also training significant upgrades across all four events, including a double front, double tuck, double pike, 2.5, back handspring-back handspring-layout, front handspring-front tuck 1/2, and Shaposh 1/2. Gracie Dunn enters her senior season with a strong combination of clean execution, artistry, and exciting upgrades in the works. On beam, she brings pretty artistry to a routine featuring a back handspring-layout stepout, big leaps, back tuck-switch split to knee, and cartwheel-1.5 dismount. Her floor routine includes a 1.5-front pike and front layout-front pike, while her Yurchenko layout gives her a strong foundation on vault. Dunn is also training upgrades across multiple events, including a Yurchenko full, back handspring-back handspring-layout, cat leap-aerial-sissone, double tuck, front layout-front full, 1.5-front layout, front Rudi, and switch leap full-switch ring. With plenty of difficulty on the horizon, Dunn is entering her senior season with momentum and looks ready to make her mark.     Aniayah Rainey finished her last JO season on a high note at Dev Nationals before continuing her momentum at an Elite Compulsory & Optional National Qualifier, where she put together another strong performance. She's a GAGE transfer who brings impressive qualities. A versatile athlete with standout work across all four events, Rainey combines graceful artistry with impressive power. On beam, she features a back handspring-layout stepout, back handspring-back handspring-layout stepout, back tuck, aerial, cat leap-switch side, and round-off 1.5 dismount, all enhanced by beautiful lines and confident presentation. Her floor routine pairs expressive choreography with a double tuck, 2.5, front layout-front full, and switch side-Popa, while her Yurchenko full on vault showcases excellent distance. Bars features a Shaposh-Pak, 1/2 pirouette, toe handstand, and clear hip handstand-double tuck dismount. She's also training exciting upgrades including a triple full, Jaeger, Shaposh 1/2, full-out dismount, Onodi, side somi, and aerial-split jump-back handspring chest roll. With her combination of difficulty, artistry, and versatility, Rainey is an athlete who will be exciting to follow as she continues her development.     Coming to Fuzion from GAGE, Kasslynn Holdman enters her senior season with a well-rounded skill set and impressive difficulty across all four events. Coming off foot surgery, she's steadily building back toward competition and looks poised to put together a strong final season. Her Yurchenko layout on vault stands out for its excellent body position, height, and distance off the table, while beam features an aerial-round-off, big leaps, and a round-off 1.5 dismount. On bars, Holdman competes a toe handstand-Maloney-Pak combination and toe handstand-double tuck dismount, showcasing strong difficulty and amplitude. Her floor routine features a front double full, 1.5-front pike, and front Rudi, adding another layer of power to her all-around profile. She's also training significant upgrades, including a Yurchenko 1.5, Maloney 1/2, piked Jaeger, full-twisting Pak, gainer back handspring-layout stepout, aerial to scale, double pike, double front, and 1.5-front layout. With her upgrades and competitive experience, Holdman is building toward a great senior season and has plenty of potential to make an impact.     Tessa Brocker enters her junior year with a strong all-around foundation and exciting upgrades in the works. Coming to the team from GAGE, she fits into this talented group seamlessly. On floor, she competes a 1.5-front layout, switch side-Popa, front Rudi, and front full-front pike, while her Yurchenko layout on vault stands out for its excellent height off the table. Her bars routine features a blind change-Jaeger-bail combination and full pirouette-double tuck dismount, with a huge, clean Jaeger that immediately catches the eye. On beam, Brocker brings a back handspring-back tuck, front toss-beat jump, and gainer pike dismount. She's also training significant upgrades, including a full-twisting Pak and full-out dismount on bars, back handspring-layout stepout, side somi, and gainer tuck full on beam, plus a front double full, double layout, front layout-front double full, double pike, and 1.5-front full on floor. With her combination of amplitude, difficulty, and continued development, Brocker is a junior worth watching as she works toward an exciting season.     Despite having to switch gyms from GAGE to Fuzion mid-season, Sammi Johnson put together a strong sophomore season and enters her junior year ready to make a splash. Power is the defining feature of her gymnastics, and she brings it to every event. On floor, Johnson immediately captures attention with a double front before moving through a switch side-Popa, front layout-front full, and double pike with an easy stick. Her huge Yurchenko full on vault showcases that same explosive power, while beam features a unique flare mount, back handspring-layout stepout, standing front tuck, and round-off-double tuck dismount. On bars, she competes a clear hip handstand-double tuck dismount, Shaposh-Geinger, and Pak salto. Johnson's combination of power, difficulty, and confidence makes her a standout all-arounder, and as she enters her junior year, she's a gymnast college coaches should have firmly on their radar.     Kaylee Seifert enters her junior year as a consistent and reliable competitor who brings steady work to the lineup, particularly on vault and floor. On bars, she competes a toe shoot to high bar and bail, while continuing to expand her release repertoire with new skills, including a Tkatchev that shows impressive height and amplitude over the bar. Her beam routine features a front aerial, switch leap-split jump, and round-off-back handspring mount, while floor includes a 1.5-front pike and front Rudi. Seifert's gymnastics is marked by clean, controlled form, with tight body positions, pointed toes, and a polished presentation that helps her skills look precise and intentional. With her consistency and continued work toward new releases, Seifert is a junior to watch as she continues to build her all-around résumé.     Izzie Vann is coming off a consistent and reliable season and enters her junior year as an athlete worth keeping an eye on. Her all-around skill set is highlighted by clean lines and polished execution, with strong work across all four events. On beam, Vann's skill set includes a front toss-back handspring, aerial-split jump, and aerial-back handspring, while bars features a Geinger, bail to handstand, and impressive dismount options including a double tuck, double layout, and full-twisting double layout. On floor, she brings a double pike, 1/2-front Rudi, and front Rudi, while her Yurchenko full gives her a strong vault option. Vann combines difficulty with clean, precise lines that give her gymnastics a polished look. With her consistency and well-rounded skill set, she's a junior to watch as the season gets underway.     Isabella Henry is an exciting prospect entering the season, bringing a combination of power, artistry, and difficulty across all four events. Coming to Fuzion from GAGE, she brings artistry and confidence. On floor, her double pike soars, complemented by big leaps, exquisite artistry, a front layout-front layout, and 1.5-front pike. Her beam routine features a switch leap mount, back handspring-layout stepout, switch leap-straddle jump, cat leap-switch side, and a back handspring-back handspring-1.5 dismount. On bars, Henry showcases a toe handstand-bail handstand-toe shoot to high and toe shoot handstand to double tuck dismount. Her Yurchenko layout on vault stands out for its huge block and clean body position. She's also working toward a double layout on floor and off bars, adding even more potential to an already impressive skill set. With her mix of difficulty, polished lines, and standout artistry, Henry is a prospect to watch as the season gets underway.     Addison Sweeney enters her freshman season at Fuzion after making the move from GAGE, bringing an impressive skill set with her. She ended her season as the Missouri State Champion on floor. She combines strong difficulty with plenty of personality, particularly on floor, where her clean choreography and expressive presentation stand out alongside a front full-front pike, front layout-front pike, and 1.5. On bars, Sweeney competes a Gienger, Pak salto, 1/2 pirouette, and toe handstand-double tuck dismount, while beam features a back handspring-layout stepout and aerial. She's also training exciting upgrades, including a double pike dismount and Ray release on bars, side somi and aerial to scale on beam, and a 2.5 and front layout-front Rudi on floor. With a State Championship already under her belt and plenty of potential still to unlock, Sweeney is an exciting addition to Fuzion and a freshman to watch this season.     Lilly Van Rixel enters her freshman season at Fuzion as another exciting addition from GAGE, bringing plenty of potential and impressive skills in the works. She's been training a blind change-Jaeger combination on bars, while beam features major upgrades including a back handspring-layout-layout, back handspring-back handspring-layout stepout, and switch leap-1/4 Schuschunova. On floor, she's working toward a triple full, adding another exciting layer of difficulty to her repertoire. With so many high-level skills in development, Van Rixel is an incoming freshman worth watching as she begins this next chapter at Fuzion.     Kenleigh Teat enters her sophomore season as an athlete to keep on the radar, bringing beautiful form and polished execution to her routines. On bars, she competes a blind change-Rudi dismount, while beam features a front toss-back handspring and switch leap-split jump. Her floor routine includes a double full and 1.5-front pike, showcasing her developing difficulty and strong execution. Teat is also working toward exciting upgrades, including a full-twisting Pak on bars and front toss-ring split jump and aerial-back handspring on beam. With her clean lines, beautiful form, and continued development, Teat is a young athlete with plenty of potential to watch this season.     Logan Looney is a firecracker competitor entering her eighth-grade season, bringing plenty of personality, energy, and showmanship to every event. On floor, she combines fun choreography with a front Rudi, 1.5-front pike, and double full, while her Yurchenko layout on vault showcases excellent distance from the table. Bars features a giant 1/2-bail to handstand, toe shoot to high bar, and full pirouette-double tuck dismount. On beam, Looney brings clean, precise movement and confident presentation to a routine highlighted by a front tuck mount, back handspring-layout stepout, and round-off 1.5 dismount. She's also training exciting upgrades including a full-twisting Pak and Khorkina on bars, double tuck, 2.5, and front double full on floor, back handspring-back handspring-layout stepout on beam, and a Yurchenko full on vault. With her combination of personality, difficulty, and competitive spark, Looney is a young athlete with plenty of potential to watch.    With a strong mix of returning experience, rising talent, and exciting skills in the works, Fuzion Gymnasts has plenty to offer as the new season gets underway.
