Willow Lopez brings the kind of vault that could make her a valuable piece of a college lineup. Her Yurchenko full showcases impressive power, but it’s the attention to detail that really makes the vault stand out. She maintains a beautifully extended body position throughout the skill, with clean form all the way down to her toes, before finishing with an easy, controlled landing. It’s a vault that combines the power needed to make an impact with the polish that can make a routine especially rewarding to watch. And Willow may have even more difficulty on the way. She has been training a Yurchenko 1.5, and it already carries the same impressive power as her full. If she continues to develop the upgrade, she could bring an even bigger weapon to the vault table. Whether it’s her polished full or a future 1.5, Willow has the power, form, and consistency to be an asset in a college vault lineup.

Coming off her second Level 10 season, Willow Lopez is using the summer to add new difficulty to an already promising skill set, with beam emerging as an especially exciting event to watch. She is training a side somi to complement her front toss, back handspring-layout stepout, and round-off-1.5 dismount, adding another dynamic element to a routine built on confidence and consistency. Her Yurchenko full is also looking strong, showcasing an open body position off the table, while floor features a double tuck. On bars, Lopez brings a Shaposh, bail, and double layout dismount to round out her repertoire. With upgrades taking shape and beam leading the way, Lopez is an exciting prospect heading into the new season.
