Tessa Trail is headed to BYU with the kind of personality and performance quality that could make her a favorite with the Marriott Center crowd. Her floor routine is full of fun choreography and big skills, including a front double full, 1.5-front full, and front Rudi, all performed with the confidence and energy to entertain. Beam is another event where Trail could make a strong impact in the BYU lineup, bringing a front tuck, back handspring-layout stepout, and Gainer full dismount, each attacked with confidence and style. Her Yurchenko full is powerful, with a quick twist, while bars features a bail to handstand-toe shoot to high and full pirouette-double tuck dismount. Trail is also continuing to expand her arsenal, training a full-out dismount on bars, front toss-back handspring on beam, 2.5 and 1.5-front Rudi on floor, and a Yurchenko half-on-pike off vault. With her combination of skill, confidence, and personality, Trail has the potential to bring both lineup value and plenty of excitement to BYU.
