Entering her senior year, Mari Laidlaw brings the kind of all-around consistency that can make her a valuable piece of a college lineup. After a strong season, Laidlaw hit another gear when it mattered most, building momentum throughout the postseason and ultimately earning a spot at Nationals. Her routines combine difficulty with confident presentation, highlighted by a Tsuk layout on vault, a connected clear hip handstand to bail handstand series and double tuck dismount on bars, and a beam routine featuring a back handspring-layout stepout, aerial and switch leap-switch side. On floor, her double tuck, front full-front pike and front Rudi are complemented by expressive choreography. With a Tsuk half, Hindorff, front tuck on beam and front full-front layout among the upgrades in training, Laidlaw has an opportunity to enter her final season with even more scoring potential.
