Expert Analysis
Clarissa Richardson | Prep Gymnastics Scout
Fresh off her first Level 10 season, Brynnlee Zimmer has already established herself as a well-rounded athlete with the foundation to become an impactful collegiate gymnast. Her floor routine is highlighted by powerful tumbling, including a double back, a 1.5 to front layout, and a 1.5 to front pike, while her fun, sassy choreography and outstanding showmanship make her a performer who naturally draws attention. On bars, she demonstrates clean technique with a toe handstand to bail combination before finishing with a huge double tuck dismount that she consistently lands with confidence. Beam is another strength, featuring a back handspring-layout stepout series, an aerial, excellent leap combinations, and a roundoff 1.5-twist dismount. She also competes a Yurchenko layout on vault, giving her a solid all-around foundation.
Zimmer’s offseason upgrades point to an even higher ceiling. She is training a Barani, front tuck mount, triple acro series, back handspring-double full dismount, and a back handspring-double back dismount on beam, along with a bail to handstand and Tkachev on bars. On floor, she’s adding high-level passes including a full-in, a front layout-front Rudi connection, a double pike, and a front layout-front full-front tuck connection. As she continues refining her execution while adding difficulty, Zimmer is positioning herself as an athlete with the potential to make a significant impact at the collegiate level.
