<p>Bars has been the highlight of Perlmutter's return, showcasing both her technical ability and composure. Her routine features a Maloney to bail to handstand connection, demonstrating strong transition work and control throughout the exercise. She maintains a steady rhythm from element to element and finishes with a huge double tuck dismount, showing the power and confidence that have defined her gymnastics. Even while navigating her return from injury, Perlmutter proved she can deliver a quality routine when it matters most, making her a standout recruit on the event.</p>

<p>What makes Perlmutter's comeback especially exciting is the amount of progress she has made in her recovery and upgrades. She has been gradually rebuilding her skills while continuing to push her difficulty, a testament to both her work ethic and commitment to returning stronger. On bars, she has been training a double layout dismount and a Church release, adding significant difficulty to an already strong event.</p>

<p>Her work this summer has extended across every event. On floor, Perlmutter has been progressing toward powerful tumbling upgrades, including a double tuck, double pike, double layout, and front full to front layout connection on soft surfaces. On beam, she has begun reintroducing connections and has already progressed back to a triple series of back handspring–back handspring–layout, along with a front tuck and roundoff 1.5 dismount. She is also continuing to build toward a Yurchenko 1.5 on vault, further increasing her all-around potential.</p>

<p>The most impressive part of Perlmutter's journey is the determination she has shown throughout the process. Returning from surgery while continuing to develop higher-level skills requires patience, discipline, and confidence, and she has demonstrated all three.
