Vault has become one of Daniel's most dependable events. Last season, she competed a Yurchenko full that showcased excellent body position from start to finish, along with impressive power off the table. Her clean technique allows the vault to stand out even among other fulls, as she generates significant amplitude while maintaining tight form throughout the twist. It's the kind of vault that provides both consistency and scoring potential, and with even more difficulty on the horizon, its ceiling continues to rise.

On bars, Daniel displays beautiful swing and precise handstand positions throughout her routine. Her toe-on handstand to Maloney to bail to handstand combination flows effortlessly, demonstrating both rhythm and technical precision. She finishes the routine with one of her signature skills—a huge double layout dismount that highlights her outstanding air awareness and body control. Few athletes make double layouts look as effortless as Daniel does, and it's a skill that has quickly become one of her trademarks.

Beam is another event where Daniel's execution shines. Her routine features a wolf full turn, a back handspring-layout stepout series, a Barani, a switch leap to split jump with a full 180-degree extension, and a roundoff 1.5 dismount. Every skill is performed with confidence and precision, while her extension and attention to detail elevate the overall presentation of the routine. Rather than relying solely on difficulty, Daniel separates herself through impeccable form and polished execution from beginning to end.

Floor exercise may be where Daniel is most captivating. Her tumbling is highlighted by a double tuck with so much height it feels like you could run underneath it, a powerful double pike, and a 1.5 through to front pike. While her tumbling certainly commands attention, it's her performance quality that completes the package. Daniel's choreography is refreshingly unique and engaging, and she attacks every movement with calculated precision. Every pose, dance element, and transition feels intentional, creating a routine that is just as entertaining between passes as it is during them.

As impressive as her sophomore season was, Daniel is already raising the bar. She's currently training a Yurchenko 1.5 on vault, a Maloney half on bars, and a front aerial on beam. On floor, she's working toward adding a double layout and a front layout through to double pike. These upgrades would significantly increase an already impressive tumbling lineup. Each new skill complements the strengths she already possesses, giving her even greater scoring potential as she continues to develop.

What makes Daniel especially exciting as a college prospect is that her gymnastics is built on fundamentals that translate at every level. Clean lines, impeccable form, precise execution, and exceptional body control are qualities every collegiate program values, and she pairs those traits with genuine power and high-level difficulty. Add in her signature double layouts and rapidly expanding skill set, and it's easy to see why [player_tooltip player_id='4679' first='Sophie' last='Daniel'] is one of the brightest rising stars in Region 3 and a gymnast capable of making an impact in virtually any college lineup.
