Power and precision are just a few words to describe Jordyn Johnson’s performance at nationals. She placed second on Beam with a 9.750 and had wonderful lines throughout her routine. She completed a back handspring step-out layout step-out connection and standing front tuck acro, then stuck the landing on her round off double back tuck dismount. Johnson also had an impressive bar routine scoring a 9.800 and performing well controlled Van Leeuwen, bail handstand, and double front half dismount. Johnson tied for second in the senior D division with an All-Around score of 39.075. She will be a wonderful addition to Michigan State University’s gymnastics program where she has committed.
