She brings an exciting combination of quick twisting, dynamic difficulty, and standout showmanship, making her routines especially engaging to watch. Hillstrom is adding even more difficulty this season, including a Yurchenko 1.5 on vault and a blind full pirouette-Gienger connection on bars. Beam is another area of growth, with a back handspring-layout-layout, pike front toss, switch side and round off-double full dismount in the works. On floor, she is pushing her tumbling with a front double full-front tuck and front full-front full-1.5-front full combination. With her speed through twisting skills and ability to bring energy to every routine, Hillstrom has the potential for an exciting junior season.
