Vault provides an immediate glimpse of Tressel's explosive power. Her Yurchenko full launches off the table with impressive block and amplitude, allowing her to complete the skill with plenty of time to prepare for a controlled landing. The vault is performed with excellent body position throughout, making it one of her most dependable scoring events and an event with even more upside as her difficulty continues to increase.

On bars, Tressel combines difficult release work with confident execution. Her routine features a toe-on blind change directly into a Jaeger release, followed by a Pak salto that showcases her ability to transition smoothly between the bars. She finishes with an impressive full-in dismount, demonstrating both power and body control as she consistently finds the landing. The routine reflects a gymnast who is comfortable performing high-level skills while maintaining rhythm and composure throughout.

Beam is another event where Tressel's confidence becomes especially apparent. Her routine includes a solid front tuck, a back handspring-layout stepout series, a front aerial, and a roundoff double full dismount. She attacks each skill with conviction, displaying strong acrobatic technique while remaining steady under pressure. Her calm demeanor allows the routine to flow naturally, giving the impression that she's completely in command from mount to dismount.

Floor exercise is perhaps where Tressel shines brightest. She opens with a gorgeous full-in that she sticks with confidence, immediately setting the tone for the routine. She follows with a clean 1.5 through to front pike connection before finishing with an easily landed double tuck. Her tumbling combines exceptional power with control, and each landing reinforces the confidence that has become one of her defining characteristics. Rather than simply completing difficult passes, Tressel makes them look comfortable and easy.

As strong as her current routines already are, Tressel's future appears even brighter thanks to an ambitious list of upgrades. On floor, she's training a front through to double back and a double layout, both of which would significantly elevate an already impressive tumbling lineup. Bars continues to evolve with a Ray release and a Pak salto to pirouette in development, adding even more difficulty to a routine that's already packed with quality release work. On beam, she's working toward a front tuck mount, an aerial to split jump connection, and a double wolf turn, while vault is progressing toward a Yurchenko 1.5.

What separates Tressel from many of her peers isn't just the difficulty she performs, it's the confidence with which she performs it. She competes every event with composure, allowing her power, clean execution, and natural presence to shine through. With high-level skills already in place and an exciting collection of upgrades on the way, [player_tooltip player_id='4701' first='Maliha' last='Tressel'] is developing into the kind of gymnast who has the ability to make an immediate impact in a collegiate lineup on every event.
